2013…Welcome

Happy New Year to all of you and thank you for the support you gave me at this very beginning of my blog! I hope 2013 will try to bring happiness and peace to everybody even if Santa were lost somewhere in Greek bureaucracy for the 2012!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Long time no see

Long time no see, but I came back with some great news…
I would just like to inform you that from now on I am a member of the Invision Images family! A photo agency founded in 2006, based in Athens, Greece / Sofia, Bulgaria. Invision is working with a team of photographers aiming to promote new forms of photojournalism and documentary photography. On Vacation (part four)

Continued from Post: On Vacation (part three).

August…traditionally a holiday month in Greece, and since I didn’t want to go against this “custom”, me and my girlfriend decided to go on a seven day road-trip to the west and central Peloponnese.
As I said to a previews post, one of the best things about Finikounta is that it is located next to some very nice and interesting places and towns like Pilos, Methoni and Koroni. If you ever happen to find yourself in this part of the world make sure to visit Voidokoilia beach, drink a coffee under the big plane tree at the main square at Pilos, walk around Methonis castle and don’t forget to take a dive at Nedas waterfalls (unfortunately we didn’t make it visit Nedas waterfalls but believe me, it’s worth the time and effort to go there).

Well…I wish this road-trip could last for ever but it was only a seven day trip to the South, so it was about time to start getting back home. But hey…do you really believed that it was only this? Well..there is more. Not much, but there is some more.
On the way back to Athens we made a short stop at Tegea to drink some coffee with some friends. There was an annual festival in the area, so we did not lose the opportunity and went for a small walk before we move again.

On Vacation (part three)

Continued from Post: On Vacation (part two).

August…traditionally a holiday month in Greece, and since I didn’t want to go against this “custom”, me and my girlfriend decided to go on a seven day road-trip to the west and central Peloponnese.
After spending some time at my girlfriend’s grandfather old house it was time to move on for our new destination which was Finikounta. To get there, we passed through places like Krestena, Zacharo, Filiatra, a small village which I really liked called Gargalianoi and finally the famous Pilos and Methoni.

Finikounta is a quite place with nice clean beaches. A small village not so crowed even in the Summer season, but still enough not to get bored. There is a lot of camping in the area which some are really good but maybe the best thing is that Finikounta is located next to some very nice and interesting places and towns like Pilos, Methoni and Koroni to name a few. On Vacation (part two)

August…traditionally a holiday month in Greece, and since I didn’t want to go against this “custom”, me and my girlfriend decided to go on a seven day road-trip to the west and central Peloponnese.
The calendar shows August 16 2012, and it’s time to leave Gastouni behind. Our new destination is a small village on the road to Ancient Olympia and the name of this village…Platanos. We will not stay there for long…but we will simply visit my girlfriend’s grandfather old house. All we know is that it is uninhabited for years and what we’ll face once we get there remains a mystery. To tell you the truth I did not expect to see any ghosts and such…however, the interior of the house was able to extinguish my thirst for all kinds of old things.
